Following graduation from the University of Texas at Austin, Shellie entered law school at Villanova University School of Law in Villanova, Pennsylvania for her first year of law school. At Villanova, Shellie was awarded the Deirde L. Bailey Leadership Scholarship and the Minority Alumni Society Scholarship. Upon realizing she wanted to practice law in her home state, Shellie returned to San Antonio and attended St. Mary’s University School of Law for the remainder of her legal education. While at St. Mary’s, Shellie worked as a Student Attorney at the St. Mary’s University School of Law Center for Legal and Social Justice. During law school, Shellie also interned for the Honorable Toni Arteaga of the 57th Judicial District Court, and clerked at three local law firms.
Shellie began her career in Family Law, focusing on high asset property divisions, and other related complex litigation matters, including civil appeals. As an associate at the Rosenblatt Law Firm, Shellie predominantly handles a wide variety of commercial litigation matters for the firm.
