Firm Settles Hurricane Katrina disaster with FEMA

The Rosenblatt Law Firm successfully assisted an unexpected San Antonio victim of Hurricane Katrina whose willingness to assist in the aftermath clean-up placed them in the center of an entirely different hurricane within the government. Client was granted a government contract to assist FEMA in the maintenance and deactivation of travel trailers and mobile homes provided to house displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina. After client learned it had been turned down for a second year contract, based on personal animus, client then learned the same FEMA official who denied client the second year contract had inappropriately shared client's confidential information with competitors. The case was brought before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals and after 2 ½ years of litigation and intense negotiation, settlement was reached.
