The Rosenblatt Law Firm Wins Jury Trial for Popular Local Restaurant

The Rosenblatt Law Firm obtained a winning jury verdict for a popular local San Antonio restaurant. The restaurant, owned and operated by 2 brothers, leased space from a boutique hotel on the San Antonio Riverwalk. The hotel landlord brought suit to evict the restaurant, alleging, amongst other things, non-payment of rent. Our client vehemently disputed the allegations. The case, an appeal from the Justice of the Peace Court, was tried before a 6 member jury in Bexar County. After a 3 ½ day trial, which included extensive testimony from the landlord, an expert accountant, and our client, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the restaurant, thereby allowing them to retain their tenancy.
