On March 17th, Texas Governor Greg Abbott waived the waiting-week time on Unemployment Benefits in response to the effect the COVID-19 pandemic is having on local businesses and their employees.
This emergency change is intended to help those whose jobs are affected, or even lost, and provide them with relief from the sudden and widespread closures seen across the state.
