James is the President of Rosenblatt Law Firm and Chair for the transactional side of the firm. He brings with him 27 years of experience in business law and strategic planning. Before founding Rosenblatt Law Firm, James worked as an associate for Davidson & Troilio, a regional law firm, where he worked on environmental, government, corporate, real estate and litigation work. He worked nationally as an associate for Akin Gump focusing on general Corporate Practice and associated securities, mergers, and related work. Before RLF, he worked as in-house general counsel for an international construction company, aiding in strategic planning, managing all legal issues, acquiring multiple offices across the country and Canada, directing human resources, and actively participating in financial planning, human resource, accounting, and risk management.
James graduated from Wesleyan University with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Emory University with a Juris Doctorate, and the University of the Incarnate Word with a Master of Business Administration with honors. Over the years James has continued to stay active in the business community by Teaching MBA and Law courses at Texas A&M University, Kingsville (San Antonio Campus) and University of the Incarnate Word. He has held board positions on homeowners’ associations, development boards, leadership advisement organizations, and many other community engagement boards.
While James can most often be described as self-amused, he strives to be seen as a good listener, problem solver, and counselor. One of his most significant accomplishments is that Rosenblatt Law Firm still has many of its initial clients from 15 years ago when the firm opened, and these clients continue to be sources of referral today.

Mary Lisa began her years of higher education studying philosophy at Baylor. She credits this foundation for her interest and tactical views at problem-solving. Following undergrad, Mary Lisa attended law school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas on a full Regent’s Scholarship. During law school, she was an Articles Editor on the Administrative Law Journal and president of the Student Public Interest Initiative, an organization which helped raise money for law students to work in public interest and legal aid. Mary Lisa worked as a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic representing clients in family and social security matters. Also, she interned with Disability Rights Texas and several private firms.
Mary Lisa works on the transactional side of employment matters–making sure her clients are hiring, firing, and maintaining employees to protect their assets and minimize litigation. Her expertise is in drafting individual contracts tailored to her client’s needs.
Outside of work, Mary Lisa continues her passion for community involvement by volunteering with the Rotary Club of San Antonio and Snack Pak 4 Kids, a program dedicated to ending weekend hunger for kids in need, at a local elementary school. She also enjoys spending time with her sons and husband.

Jeffrey Bryson found the perfect field of expertise that marries his love of numbers and rules: tax law. Dedicated to education, Jeffrey earned his Master of Laws Degree in Taxation and Certificate in Employee Benefits Law at Georgetown University Law Center and his Law Degree at South Texas College of Law Houston in consecutive years, and even passed the CPA and Bar exams on his first attempt. Today he continues his professional development with memberships in the State Bar of Texas, Washington, D.C. Bar Association, and the San Antonio Estate Planners Council.
Jeffrey joined Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2019 as an associate attorney for the Transactional side of the firm. Jeffrey brings to the firm over 15 years of experience in ERISA, Executive Compensation, Estate Planning, and Tax Law. Of paramount importance is delivering quality legal services to clients and surpassing their expectations.
Though his areas of expertise may seem dry, Jeffrey has a dynamic personality and is considered a faith and family-oriented man who doesn’t take himself too seriously. His personal motto is “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” He loves a good laugh, time spent at the barbecue grill, and coaching a local youth soccer league. His interests are varied, including Bible Study Fellowship, saltwater fishing; he loves photography, even offering professional services for family holiday portraits.
Jeffrey looks to his grandfather, Rear Admiral William C. Bryson, as an inspiration. Jeffrey states that Rear Admiral Bryson was a “genius and a gentleman,” a lifetime Naval officer, and Commander of the USS Iowa in 1954 and 1955. He models his grandfather’s dedication, drive, leadership in helping others advance and compassion for people in his own career, and has developed his own unique blend of clear communication, love of people, and genuine desire to help families ready to ensure their children are well cared for in the event of an unexpected tragedy.

Ashley is a proud 2020 graduate of the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, after receiving her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech. While Senior Editor of the Board of Editors of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources and President of the Federalist Society, Ashley ambitiously co-founded Texas Tigers, a student organization aimed at bridging the gap between LSU Law students planning to practice law in Texas. Texas Tigers provided resources for the Texas bar exam, networking opportunities with Texas employers and fellow Texans, and guidance on the Texas legal market and employment opportunities.
Ashley’s hard work, determination, and focus led her from the Texas Tech Raiders to the LSU Tigers and, finally, to join Rosenblatt Law Firm
Problem solving is Ashley’s passion. Ashley uses these skills to find unique solutions for client needs in all areas of transactional work, contract drafting and interpretation, employment matters, insurance, real estate, and construction law.
Ashley is a food connoisseur from fine dining to ice cream to fast food; she loves trying new restaurants, exploring the city, enjoying theme parks and funnel cakes, and spending time with family. But above all, Ashley credits her father as the person who inspired her work ethic and love of the law.

A graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, Chessa was a member of the Law Review as well a member of Phi Delta Phi while a law student. Additionally, she clerked for Judge Sam R. Cummings, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Texas. After graduating law school, Chessa was a senior associate at Hightower & Partners in Miami, Florida before returning to practice law in Texas.
At Rosenblatt Law Firm, Chessa predominantly handles litigation and real estate matters, striving to help clients achieve a resolution when they feel out of options. The achievement, Chessa considers most significant with the firm, was a defense verdict for a small, local restaurant tenant whose landlord sought an eviction and damages. Chessa and her husband, Scott, have four children. When she is not working, Chessa enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking, and photography.

Nicole has 16 years of commercial and civil litigation experience in state and federal court as well as various administrative proceedings. Nicole represents clients in disputes involving breach of contract, premises liability, deceptive trade practices, wage and hour, sexual harassment, fraud, construction defects, and professional liability matters. Nicole has defended business owners in numerous fatality cases and other catastrophic loss cases, and when necessary, negotiated high-value settlements that limit unnecessary client exposure.
Nicole is active in local bar associations and has been a featured speaker at numerous CLE events, discussing the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. Nicole is the immediate past President of the Bexar County’s Women’s Bar Association and Foundation.
Nicole graduated from St. Mary’s Law School in 2005. While in law school Nicole was the President of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, member of the International Jessup Moot Court Team and research assistant for the Center for Terrorism Law.

Wendy is an Attorney of Counsel for Rosenblatt Law Firm. She joined the team in 2021 specializations in appellate and litigation support. Wendy graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1986 with her Bachelor of Business Administration, and earned her Juris Doctorate of Law from St. Mary’s University in 1989. Wendy has over 31 years of experience working in appellate law. Before Rosenblatt Law Firm, Wendy worked at The Fourth Court of Appeals as the Chief Staff Attorney for 26 years.
Wendy’s biggest verification of a job well done is when she prevails at a hearing or an appeal. She is best known for her research and writing skills. Outside of law, Wendy is most passionate about her family and two sons.
One person she admires is Justice Catherine Stone. “She has overcome a lot and is a true success when it comes to law.” When Wendy is not at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

A graduate of San Antonio College, Michelle works as a Legal Assistant to various attorneys in the Transactional sections of the Rosenblatt Law Firm. Michelle has been a practicing legal assistant since 2017 and is always looking to gain more knowledge about her job. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Her hobbies include crafting, wreath making, and going to the beach.

Angelique Fletcher

Angie works in the Litigation section. She has over 30 years of experience as a paralegal, primarily in insurance defense. Angie has a BA in English/Communications Arts from St. Mary’s University and an Associates degree in Lawyer Assisting from San Antonio College. Angie enjoys wood working and traveling.

Iliana Cuellar
Administrative Coordinator
Iliana brings over 15 years of administrative support experience to her role at Rosenblatt Law Firm. She provides administrative support for our office manager, Carrie Flowers. Iliana’s friends and family describe her as kind, adventurous, big-hearted, open-minded and determined. In her spare time, Iliana enjoys traveling, reading, swimming and baking. Her personal motto is “Change is inevitable, progression is a choice.”

Kari is responsible for client engagement at the Rosenblatt Law Firm. She is our leader in making first impressions and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Receptionist by day and college student by night, Kari is just a few credits away from earning her Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice, then on to law school!

Jordan Montoya
Receptionist
Jordan works as a receptionist at Rosenblatt Law Firm office. She helps keep the office organized, creates our monthly newsletter, and provides excellent customer service. She is currently a student at The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Business Management. Jordan’s biggest achievement is being accepted into the honors program and maintaining a high GPA. When she isn’t at the office, Jordan enjoys reading history and baking delicious deserts.
