Dawn Thurmond

Director of Marketing and Community Investments – San Antonio

Dawn Thurmond is the Director of Marketing and Community Investments at ROSENBLATT LAW FIRM. With a strong background in nonprofit work and public engagement, Dawn brings purpose, creativity, and heart to her role at RLF.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Dawn earned her B.A. in Political Science and Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso, where she completed the Law School Preparation Institute (LSPI). She is currently pursuing her M.A. at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

Though she once considered a legal career, Dawn chose to focus on advocacy and nonprofit leadership, serving on the board of The Arc of Texas and completing the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities “Partners in Policymaking” advocacy program. A longtime disability advocate, she is passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and quality of life for all. Her volunteer work includes organizations like CAMP Camp, which supports children and adults with disabilities.

Dawn was drawn to RLF by its genuine commitment to community. She values the firm’s family-like atmosphere and enjoys helping build connections between the firm and the communities it supports.

Outside of work, Dawn loves gardening and photography. She is a certified Laughter Yoga teacher and enjoys helping people reduce stress with a laugh or two. She and her husband enjoy traveling, supporting local sports, and binge watching action series together. Known as “Nawnie,” she also cherishes time with her nieces, especially when it involves crafting, fairy hunts, or writing plays fueled by imagination.
