Eddie is an attorney at ROSENBLATT LAW FIRM, where he focuses on cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. He joined the firm after more than two decades working at the intersection of technology and the law.
Eddie began his career as a system and network administrator and went on to perform hundreds of penetration tests. He has led technical teams across all areas of information security, including credentialing systems, firewall and IDS/IPS deployment, monitoring, and incident response. His hands-on experience informs his risk-based, business-aligned approach to security planning.
As legal issues surrounding cybersecurity became more prominent, Eddie attended St. Mary’s University School of Law. He served as an editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal and passed the Texas Bar in 2008.
Eddie later served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and cybersecurity coordinator for the state of Texas. In that role, he modernized the state’s information security rules, developed statewide controls, and worked with the legislature to establish stronger legal protections for information systems.
Today, Eddie advises clients on compliance with state, federal, and international data laws. He also counsels businesses on breach preparedness, cyber insurance coverage, and the development of security policies that meet both legal and operational demands.
Outside of work, Eddie enjoys building guitar pedals, playing video games, and exploring Texas’ variety of Bar-B-Q restaurants.
